I am very pleased to announce that Gunadasa Samarasinghe has been appointed as the new secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture. He will be taking over the duties on 8th of November 2022. I am confident that he will be able to lead the Ministry to new heights and bring about much needed changes in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

The DALRRD’s mandate is to develop agricultural value chains, provide agricultural inputs, monitor production and consumption in the agriculture sector, and facilitate comprehensive rural development. By working to develop the agricultural sector, the DALRRD can help increase food security and improve the lives of those living in rural areas.
